The Fourth Gas Plant Train is one of the largest gas projects in the region and it is part of KPC strategy for expanding the production of hydrocarbon gas derivatives to meet the increasing demand for these products especially at local market.

The project was awarded in July 2010 and entered the stage of actual operation in December 2014. The cost of the project estimated KD 256 million, and it harmonizes with the latest international technological standards. Furthermore, environment conservation is one of the most important objectives of the project that highly contributes in reducing emissions which harm environment and keeps pace with modern environmental requirements besides abiding by KNPC HSE regulations.

The project accommodates KOC production of associated gas & liquefied gas that comes from collection centers north and southeast Kuwait in addition to treated acid gas from MAA and SHU and condensed gas from MAB & MAA, too.

The project has a special environmental and national significance that lie in avoiding risk of possible financial losses because of not benefitting from additional quantities along with limiting oil production or burning associated gases and condensates.
